Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary got its name from its neighbouring village, located in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. It has covered an area of 458.92 hectares. The popular festival flemming is also organised by the government every year in the month of January. The major attraction of the sanctuary is the Pelican birds that migrate every year. The sanctuary consists of large and diversified flora and fauna, with approx 187 species of birds.
